Not Just for Restaurants, SafeCleanse Offers Peace of Mind

By Terence O’Reilly, Jr. and Sean O’Reilly, Sr.

The Easton Area Community Center has four floors, two gyms, a playground, a kitchen and many children coming in person to an after-school program. It has to be clean and safe.

The decal in the window shows that the center on 901 Washington Street in Easton uses TERMAC’s SafeCleanse, an EPA-registered disinfectant for high touch surfaces and spaces. That knowledge reduces worry for parents, staff and the community, providing peace of mind, says director Madeline Lozowski.

Trained TERMAC technicians apply SafeCleanse spray, sanitizing priority areas. The eco-friendly solution eliminates 99 percent of bacteria in five seconds, and the Norovirus and Covid-19 in two minutes. SafeCleanse cleans, disinfects and kills microorganisms on hard, non-porous and soft surfaces. Disinfecting helps reduce the spread of virus during flu season as well.

The Easton community center, which relies on TERMAC for essential cleaning products such as portable hand sanitizers and kitchen dishwashing liquids, greeted summer campers in late June, but made sure disinfecting procedures were put into place. The program now is a combination of virtual learning and an in-person after-school program, including dinner, activities and homework help.

The private, non-profit for children ages 5 to 18, gives youths a safe place for the after school hours, and provides positive role models, and aids in the social, physical and mental development of the participants. Eventually the center will re-open a sports program and senior citizens program.

At all times, but especially now, cleanliness is stressed in the physical space. Lozowksi says she would recommend SafeCleanse to others, and adds that the application is not disruptive. The extra step, she says, is worthwhile to keep everyone safe. “We feel good about SafeCleanse.”
