60 Years Strong – Thanks to our Staff and Customers
By Terence O’Reilly, Jr. and Sean O’Reilly, Sr.
As we enter TERMAC’s 60th anniversary year, we want to thank all the people who came along with us on this incredible journey, which is still in progress.
We have been involved with TERMAC for a long time, growing up working in the warehouse summers and weekends. It’s amazing how time has flown by. The memories, the stories, all revolve around our employees and customers. The list of people that have helped us grow our company is endless. Our fondest memories involve our staff and our customers, many awesome restauranteurs. Employees like Tom Jordan in Sales, Jim Yealy and Faron Burns in Service, have been with us for 42, 41 and 31 years. All of our employees have always provided the highest level of service. You are the reason we do what we do and love it.
TERMAC’s priority has been meeting the needs of our customers in the restaurant and hospitality industries over the years, growing from one van to a fleet of 85 service vehicles to provide 24-hour customer service.
When our dad, founder Terence O’Reilly Sr., started TERMAC in 1963, the energy crunch of the 1970s led him to low energy commercial dishwasher rentals, a business that eventually flourished. “At first I couldn’t give them away,” dad said. “But they caught on, and now low energy commercial dish machines are a big field.”
Our company has always been in growth mode, organically and through acquisition. We established a System of Service and started The Filter Man and GTO Grease Trap Services, while acquiring AllPro Stainless Steel and Metal Fabrication, Universal Fire Protection and Quality III Fire Protection, adding to our family of companies. Each service was a result of being involved with our customer base, providing a service that was needed.
Adding services has only strengthened TERMAC. Some say that we are a “one stop shop.” Why not offer our customers that trust us more choices, making these services easier to schedule, working with one company that can provide multiple necessary services? We are always looking for opportunities to help our customers and build relationships.
After 60 years, the lessons from our dad still resonate today. We realize he faced a lot of the same things that we face. We have learned from him that if you make a promise, live up to that promise. And, take care of your customers. We’ve always done both.
To our team, we are grateful for your service. To our customers, we say, thank you for welcoming us into your kitchen.
