SafeCleanse helps the Apollo Grill and other restaurants keep customers safe

It takes a hands-on restaurant owner like Rachel Griffith of the Apollo Grill in Bethlehem, Pa., to know a hands-on restaurant service company like TERMAC, a family business for almost 60 years.
Apollo Grill is among the many restaurants that are finding TERMAC’s SafeCleanse to be that extra peace of mind that keeps surfaces sanitized and customers and staff safe.
Griffith says Apollo Grill began to use the eco-friendly, EPA registered disinfection service in June, even when preparing to re-open for in-service dining. The bi-weekly blast of all surfaces in a designated area reduces the risk of virus transmission by killing 99 percent of bacteria in five seconds; and killing norovirus and coronavirus in two minutes.
SafeCleanse is for kitchens, rest rooms, dining rooms and other spaces including high touch surfaces such as door knobs, railings, countertops, chairs, tables and booths.
Restaurants, says Griffith, “are well-versed in sanitation methods, but this adds an extra layer of protection.”
The Apollo Grill is known for its attention to detail and high quality dining experiences based on an eclectic, fun but sophisticated menu.
In early March 2020, the Apollo Grill was named No. 2 Top Work Place in the Lehigh Valley for a Small Business. When it opened in 1999, it helped pioneer the downtown Bethlehem restaurant renaissance. What has kept customers returning? “They trust us. A customer once said, ‘Eating is an art. We trust you to give us the best.’ They care about us and we care about them.”
The bistro gives back to its community with an art gallery and fundraising, and on Tuesday nights donates a percentage of food sales to a college scholarship fund partnered with Generation Next, Lehigh Valley.
Griffith also uses TERMAC to service dishwashers, grease traps and filters, and appreciates the 24/7 service. “We have needed them at the emergency time of 7 p.m. on a Saturday night,” she said. “They get here quickly. We appreciate that. They are very hands-on.”
