More than 32 years ago, our father, TERMAC founder Terence O’Reilly Sr., suggested starting a company that replaces grease filters. After all, competitors were expanding into TERMAC’s primary area, dishwashing machines, and it was time for TERMAC to get into another part of the kitchen.
We started The Filter Man, and it didn’t take long for the new company to gain a foothold in the industry. TERMAC, which had been around for a quarter of a century at the time, (and now, for 59 years), had a reputation for great service. In fact, since customers always welcomed “the dish man,” the name of the new company became “The Filter Man.” Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, The Filter Man was the first subsidiary of TERMAC. Along with its success, our family of companies has grown to five.
The Filter Man specializes in exchanging dirty grease filters for clean ones in commercial kitchens. Customers appreciate that with clean filters, there is less stress on hoods and duct work.
